Minimum requirements:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, public policy, or in any social science fields such as economics, health, education, political science, anthropology, or social work. Three and one-half (3 ½) years of archaeological work experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional archeology. Work experience must have included archeology fied experience, which may include that gained in an archaeological field school. Field experience should have included a combination of professional experience in archeological survey, excavation, laboratory analysis, and preparation of written materials. In addition, the work experience must have included a working knowledge of Federal, State and local governements, and their functions and structures; issues and problems relating to Native Hawaiians; programs and services for Native Hawaiians; and related areas.
